SASSA Double Payment August 2025: For certain KwaZulu-Natal Social Security Agency (SASSA) beneficiaries, August 2025 will furnish remunerative excelling times. At the end of August, a double payment for some select recipients will take place, with none but two grant payments in a single month. Who Qualifies For Two Grants?
Double payments are levied only for the person who:
- Receives Old Age Grant, Disability Grant, or War Veteran’s Grant.
- Qualifies for Grant-in-Aid (for those requiring full-time care).
- Receives Child Support Grant for dependent children.
Each grant has a different set of eligibility criteria and SASSA thoroughly scrutinises all applications to avoid cases of fraud.
Payment Dates For August 2025
SASSA has confirmed that Older Person’s Grant payments will commence on 20 August 2025, followed immediately by payments of Disability Grants and Child Support Grants on the next few days. Those entitled to two grants will see merely amounts under two grants reflected in their payment accounts or collected at pay points on either the same day.

- Login to the official SASSA online portal.
- Call the SASSA toll-free number at 0800 60 10 11.
- Go to the nearest SASSA office with your ID and supporting documents.
Remember, only those meeting requirements for multiple grants will see this double payout.
