Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates & Sundowns 2025/26 Transfers: Full List Of Confirmed Signings

As the 2025/26 PSL season comes around, the clubs have been busy trying to strengthen their sides. With Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs to Mamelodi Sundowns, here are the confirmed transfers shaping up top-flight football in South Africa.

An Addition to the Defence for Mamelodi Sundowns

Sundowns managed to wisely brandish their pockets and sign Stellenbosch FC left-back Fawaaz Basadien. Compared to their rivals, it’s been a quiet window, but this will do wonders in adding some depth to the crucial position, making them very flexible in setting up their defense.

Orlando Pirates Bring in Fourteen New Faces

Undoubtedly the most active side in the transfer market, Buccaneers came in with fourteen new players. Among the most notable signings are Sipho Mbule from Sundowns, the national team winger Oswin Appollis from Polokwane City, and goalkeeper Sihle Nduli from Stellenbosch. In a similar vein, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, Tshepo Mashiloane, and Kamogelo Sebelebele were also acquired in an attempt to revamp the side in all departments.

Kaizer Chiefs Hit Refresh with Six Additions

Kaizer Chiefs have strengthened their ranks for key positions through the addition of six new signings. Front and centre appear to be striker Flávio Silva (from Persebaya Surabaya), forward Ethan Chislett (from Port Vale), and left-back Nkanyiso Shinga (from FC Alverca). Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane, his fellow Pirates, also joined, along with Siphesihle Ndlovu from SuperSport United, strengthening both attack and defense.

Other Major Club-to-Club Transfers

Tylon Smith, the rising star from Stellenbosch FC, named Player of the Tournament U20 AFCON, has signed for the English Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

  • SuperSport United’s central defender Ime Okon has now joined Hanover 96 of Germany, penning a contract until 2029.
  • Going for Looser, Balanced Squads

What transpires in this window is, essentially, a dilemma between short-term solutions and long-term balanced planning. The Orlando Pirates has taken one sweeping roster revamp, the Chiefs are going for strategic signings, and Sundowns has made a minor defensive addition; hence we have varied yet purposeful agendas going into what is shaping up to be a competitive 2025/26 season.
