Kaizer Chiefs Star Faces Shock Exit: Loan Move On The Cards For Young Striker

As if ready to send the 22-year-old striker on loan for the coming season, Kaizer Chiefs may just find themselves without a healthier sowing of Donay Jansen consideration by SuperSport United, where he played only three times at best and mostly went unnoticed. The technical team has no plans for him this season, sparking frantic attempts behind the scenes to facilitate a loan move before the transfer window shuts.

No Space for Him in Chiefs’ Plans This Season

Despite having been given a first-team contract at Chiefs,  however, his future remains uncertain as his development appears to be stalled.  With practically no interest from the Premier Soccer League clubs, the club is now looking for opportunities to the Motsepe Foundation Championship, from where they believe he would get more playing time and actual match exposure.

Jansen’s Ambitions Perhaps Not So Brief

Sources close to Jansen reveal that he would not give up so easily;  he still wants to prove himself at Amakhosi, even if that meant going through a loan spell.  Some positive exposure and consistent matches elsewhere could be one of the deciding moments towards establishing his road to winning back a place in the Chiefs’ setup.

Why a loan could be important?

Being on loan for one season would give him the rare chance to restart his career, especially in a more relaxed environment with ample opportunities. The more days he sees action, the better: confidence building, skills sharpening, and putting on a scoring show are all important to any striker who wants entry into any reputable PSL team.
